Kenya has a large coast line on the Indian Ocean on the East side and Lake Victoria the largest sweet water lake in the World on the West side of the country. Both coastlines have been little exploited. Small size imported fishing boats can be spotted around Mombasa but their is basically no water transport companies around. With the traffic in Mombasa, water transport is the obvious solution to ease congestion in the city and facilitate the transport of people around town. Lake Victoria is even less exploited and the majority of boats around are small artisan fishing boats with no safety standards.
Smart Own and Gulf Craft spent 3 days in Kenya’s capital Nairobi to introduce their range of passenger boats, fishing boats and patrol boats to the Kenyan community and businessmen. Our visitors are convinced about the potential of the water transport business and many of them are planning to embark on this highly lucrative venture in the short to medium term. The superstar boat that attracted most attention was again the Gulf Craft Touring 36. The World’s best selling passenger boat is the boat of choice for the water transport entrepreneur. Its passengers capacity, speed, simplicity and price make this boat a winning investment with a quick and high ROI. This is the right boat to start a water transport business in Kenya and our visitors agree.
Smart Own has stock boats of Touring 36 ready for immediate delivery. We ship worldwide. To Kenya we deliver to Mombasa port and we take care of shipping making the process a total hassle free for our customers.
We leave you with some photos of our 3 days exhibition at the Kenyatta International Conference Center (KICC) in Nairobi, Kenya.
